This affordable housing renovation design seeks to upgrade a semi-detached structure in poor condition, while providing energy performance upgrades to the existing envelope.The exterior walls are clad with a system of exterior insulation, upgraded air sealing and durable & sustainable siding. The building is also fitted out with high performing windows. The upgraded wall assembly detail is used by a local non-profit as a training site to educate a new generation of tradespeople in high performance energy upgrades.
